Beckman Coulter Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzers

Total Organic Carbon And Conductivity Analyzer

Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is a measurement of the total amount of carbon from organic compounds in pure water and aqueous systems. TOC is an analytical value to determine how suitable a solution is for organizations and labs for their processes. Water will naturally contain some organic compounds except ultrapure, to determine how much is key.

Apparatuses commonly used to determine TOC in water for pharmaceutical use have in common the objective of completely oxidizing the organic molecules in the water to produce carbon dioxide, followed by the measurement of the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) produced. Then the amount of CO2 produced is used to calculate the organic carbon concentration in the water.

Beckman Coulter Anatel Total Organic Carbon And Conductivity Analyzer

ANATEL PAT700 Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzers are specifically designed to fully comply with all global pharmacopeias (USP, EP, JP) requirements for TOC and conductivity for Purified Water and Water for Injection. Each sample is fully oxidized guaranteeing without using any chemicals but uses just powerful UV light. The most accurate TOC result that follows EP2.2.44 guidelines. With All 3 parameters, TOC, Uncompensated Conductivity and Temperature can be fully validated from just one analyzer, it can be fully calibrated and validated to USP<643> and USP<645>.

Auto Switching Dual UV Lamp For Yearly Service and Calibration Intervals. Excursion capture for root cause analysis support, Auto-sampler for sample automatically taken if there is a TOC excursion with built-in 4 bottle grab-sample analyzer for analyzing samples from other points in the water loop.
The ANATEL PAT700 discriminates between the inorganic carbon, which may be present in the water from sources such as dissolved CO2 gas and bicarbonate, and the CO2 generated from the oxidation of organic molecules in the sample. This discrimination is accomplished by measuring the inorganic carbon present before commencing to oxidize the organic carbon to CO2 and then subtracting it from the total carbon measurement made at the end of the oxidation process (total carbon is the sum of organic carbon and inorganic carbon).

The ANATEL PAT700 is 21 CFR Compliant with features such as
• Windows credentials (Microsoft Active Directory) with Multi-level user access
• Secure .pdf file export via FTP over Ethernet
• Built-in electronic automated Calibration and System Suitability SOPs & Pass/Fail calculations
• No manual data entry – calibration standards use RFID tags to
transfer lot number, expiry date and certified value directly to
